My hubby and I recently subscribed to DirecTV since we heard that it is available in our area. The cost is the same as Flow. So far, I am very pleased with the customer service. When I read the contract, I noticed that there is a clause which advises customers that if they choose to discontinue the service before one year has elapsed, then they will be charged three months subscription and also, be expected to pay the balance due for the rest of the year. I think this is very outrageous but also a clever way of preventing people from subscribing and changing their minds too quickly. I don't think this will affect hubby or me since we intend to stick with this new service unless, something terrible happens.
I am hoping that more people will respond to this thread since I am anxious to hear about the problems that individuals have experienced with DirecTV. The rain fell heavily recently and our service was not affected. As time goes on, I will provide updates on any problems or concerning the service.
