I just had a look at this thread and had to remove some of the more silly Posts.

If you find her voice is nasal, or her new husband good looking (or not), and all that well that is just opinion, but the rest are just rumors and unless you people have source material for it just leave it out.

Comments: On September 6, 2008, Shelly Dass wed Robert Clarke, a producer and reporter at Gayelle TV, in a million dollar beachfront ceremony at a private family owned resort in Tobago. Clarke is the great great grandson of Captain Authur Andrew Cipriani, former Trinidad &  Tobago politician, mayor, and trade union leader. Clarke, an award winning journalist and writer, met Dass during a cabinet press conference in Port of Spain.

Shelly will be presenting the news tonight for one more time. She is migrating to Washington DC to assume a position as a special advisor to the Organisation of American States (OAS).

Comments: Remember, when someone wrote about Dass moving to Washington DC to [..] and they took it off. Well read between the lines. Those people knew what they were talking about apparently. It is sad if this is so. [..] I hope it is only a rumour. May God bless her with her own family when she arrives in DC.

Well, rumors and rumors. Most of the time is just people jealous of the success of others. I wish her well, even though I personally do not like her style of journalism but I wish her all the best.

Comments: Leave the woman alone. She has worked hard.  Mrs Dass-Clarke  has been eyeing that position for a long time. Her ambition to get what she wanted paid off. It is a pity her hubby is not accompanying her. How sad for her.

Who said her husband is not accompanying her? It gives me the impression he IS going with her:

Quote
“We thought long and hard about it,” Shelly said, referring to her husband, Robert Clarke, also a television journalist. “We also consulted family members and friends and prayed about it,” she added. In the end, she decided to seize the career opportunity.

Comments: No experience necessary for her to work in the O.A.S. She will learn in time. She is a bright girl. I think she has found what she wanted to do. A lot of traveling and meeting prominent people.
